Bio

Mr. Baker is a seasoned educator and researcher producing powerful learning opportunities for higher
education. Mr. Baker holds a Master Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health from
Clark Atlanta University along with a Bachelor Degree in Human Services from Mercer University.

Mr. Baker’s professional career path includes: Hope Atlanta where he functioned as a Housing Specialist
assisting Homeless Veterans, Cobb/Douglas Community Services, Mercer University, and New Bridges,
Inc. Mr. Baker is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and The Georgia
Society for Clinical Social Work (GSCSW). In 2016, Mr. Baker was elected as the Tax Commissioner
for Douglas County, GA. Where he serves as the first African- American to be elected in this position
for the county.

Greg Baker’s favorite pastimes are bowling, tennis and watching a good movie. He is a proud husband,
father of two daughters, and the grandfather to six grandchildren.
